I love coming over here on my lunch hour!!! They can be slow but it’s so worth the wait. And you really can’t beat the prices.HOWEVER... they do tend to mix up orders. I've ordered a reuben and been given a turkey sandwich twice!
MoreBest sandwich ever!
One of my favorite places for lunch!Never had a bad meal here!
Service was friendly, but the food was fair at best. The “lobster” Benedict was either crawfish or langoustine.
MoreWife enjoyed her Reuben, and I enjoyed my three cheese grilled cheese with 🥓. We shared a cup of lobster bisque that was decent. This place is very small and least where we sat. Automatic 1 star deduction for a single bathroom establishment. For what it was I don't see the value in returning. I can get a decent sandwich anywhere for less money. But, I imagine if you were a very local it'd be worth the trip.
MoreGreat home-style food. Friendly and efficient service.
Saturday brunch was yummy!!! It was my first visit but definitely not my last!
Great service and yummy food!
Quaint little bistro. Great food.
Lobster slider is wonderful. Generous quantity of lobster in both salad and bisque.
MoreOne of my favorite places for breakfast or lunch!! Delicious food , great service and charming atmosphere!!
MoreOrdered the lobster Benedict, The menu read Maine Lobster. When my dish came out it looked like tiny “crawdads” where substituted for the Maine Lobster. I sent it back, no issues, and I’ll add, the server was a sweetheart. When I went to pay for my wife’s quiche and our coffee the owner told me in a sarcastic manner that they weren’t crayfish but Brazilian lobster. Point 1, the menu clearly and boastfully claimed Maine Lobster. Point 2, they looked like the size of crayfish. Looks like the old bait and switch in order to make a better profit, While deceiving the customer
MoreA geat breakfast and lunch Bistro. The best waffles locally.
Everything was pretty durn good. Coffee was not very dark, waffle was very rich.. but I would certainly go back.
MoreMidland Bistro is a quaint little eatery with indoor and outdoor seating. The walkway is adorned with greenery and each table has a small arrangement of fresh flowers. It is a very welcoming environment. The food here is delicious! I've eaten here for breakfast and lunch on separate occasions and haven't been disappointed yet. The lobster bisque is a favorite of mine and my husband. You can't go wrong stopping here to eat. Another plus is that the staff is super friendly and attentive to all your needs. We love this hidden gem!
MoreWonderful, fresh food. Great selection, great service. Love the atmosphere -artwork abounds. Be sure to try the orange cake. Fabulous!!
MoreA wonderful place for lunch. Love the atmosphere, service, and the excellent food.
MoreAn excellent place for lunch with a good selection of food choices. We chose the lobster bisque and enjoyed it so much that we ordered a quart to give to our children . Excellent service. affordable prices.
MoreWe had such an amazing breakfast!
Good food, great desserts, clean, coffee is good
Been a few times and always leave happy. Great atmosphere with great food.
Awesome lunch spot. The sandwiches are always good. I always get a cup of the lobster bisque to start...delicious. The only reason it isn't a 5 star is because I would like to see a bit more on the menu. Other than that, amazing.
MoreLobster hollandaise was not good. Hollandaise sauce was thin and did not taste good. Lobster bits were tiny. Side of fruit had canned pineapple. Second time coming with second disappointment.
MoreOutstanding food and service!
Great little spot. Cant wait to go back
Planned a "quiet lunch" to celebrate our 45th Wedding Anniversary at the "Bistro." If you want to have a really "Lite" lunch with poor service, we found it. Prices (for what one gets) are high. SERVICE is non-existent, when needed. I've seen better presentations at Burger King. We have to wait 15 - 20 minutes to find our ONE of 10,000 busy little black and white aprons running between the circus tent and the kitchen. Attention men! if your wife loves the place, sneak in a brown bag sandwich under your loosely fitting jacket. Prices - Too High! Service - Non-existent; Food - Average at best. Think of eating a cold, greasy hot dog at the Zoo, and you will discover Midland.Very Disappointed.
MoreWe had a nice lunch. Food and service was good. Be aware they charge a 3% "processing fee" for using a credit card......even a debit card.
MoreGreat place. We stopped through traveling and our lunch was awesome. Great service, prices and food. I would come back in a heartbeat if in the area again.
MoreStopped for lunch. Fantastic food and fantastic service! I can’t wait to come eat here again when I’m back in town.
MoreMy wife and I began going to this little gem in late 2016 after arriving in Southern Pines to make our weekly check on a home we had built in Talamore. We love the Midland Bistro. It's cozy, intimate. We especially like the soups prepared there. Best BLTs around. And the desserts -- absolutely yummy. We feel like family now, they have our Duck Hooks waiting on us.
MoreThe sweet tea legitimately tasted like ash from a fire but she didn't charge me for it and gave me water instead. Everything came out quickly but was somehow either slightly warm or cold. Everything tasted fine and the waitress was nice but the tea and cold food ruined it.
MoreLoved having breakfast here this morning! Quaint little spot with impeccable service! We'll be back again!
MoreGood food good service
Love the lobster slider and bisque
I had Lobster Bisque with a Lobster Slider. My hubby had the prime rib dip. Food was great, its clean and not to big and such simple quaint decor. Inside and outside dining. We will be back because in the Sandhills it's hard to find good food and a great environment.
MoreGood sandwiches and soup.
Great breakfast and the service is awesome
Great service, fantastic food!
Great food. Service is a little to be desired as they tend to fill up quick and the ladies can be darting around too quick for real quality service.
MoreI'm interested in checking it out for lunch, but breakfast left me unimpressed. Lobster Benedict was pretty flavorless and the English muffin seemed uncooked. And, like another reviewer mentioned, there was canned pineapple under the fresh strawberries and fresh banana - weird choice, and disconcerting. My friend enjoyed her waffle though!
MoreGreat service and food.
Great food! Healthy options! Excellent service!
Very nice small bistro . Menu is a little small and it's on the expensive side. May be the most expensive breakfast I've ever had for 3 people.
MoreEnjoyed every bite! Lobster slider was great and the lobster bisque soup also. Friendly atmosphere and great truffles!
MoreThis place is well hidden but very quaint and efficient. Service was fast and friendly. The Bistro Prime Dip was phenomenal! I highly recommend it!
MoreOne of the best delis I've ever been to! The foccai bread is incredible... highly recommended
MoreGreat service, good food, fairly priced.
Great place, food and people!
A secret gem! I can’t wait to come back and bring some friends! They have delicious food and a comfortable cute layout! Amazing bottomless mimosa deal and fabulous dessert selection!
